Stampin' crazy

Got in a stampin' mood last night and just stamped and designed till the wee hours!  Played with some background stamps and muted colors.  Some good, others met the trash can......oh well, as my Mom used to say, you never know 'till you try!
One that turned out well is below. I bought some stamps at the scrapbook show and played with them and came up with this card. Darkish pink background, flowers etc stamped on white.  Light pink with dark pink accented ribbon and popped the sentiment (printed on computer).  Fun!!
Now I have to start working on wedding stuff for my daughter's wedding coming up in October.  Doing a variety of samples for place cards and favor boxes and then will let her choose.  Love SVG Cuts as they have great designs to work with!!!  I will post some of my trials as I get them done,
  Have a great day!

Graduation Card

Forgot to post this card I made for my niece who graduated from Old Dominion University!
I used the Damask Decor cartridge for the card and then embossed the cut with clear embossing powder.

The stamp is from the dollar bin at Michaels.  I embossed it as well and edged the blue in black and embossed the edging too.  I added star bling, as she is a STAR!.  Some blingy flowers on the inside with a stamp from Close to my Heart and............ Voila!

Quick Card

I put this card together the other night. Just had a few minutes to "craft" so it is pretty easy. I used 7gypsies paper,Mykonos, and added some
thin strips along the sentiment. I popped the sentiment after edging it with blue ink. I think it is cheery and best of all, ready to go!
Hope you have a great week !!

Ribbon Day

Today I took off for Hagerstown MD to go to the
Offray ribbon outlet..... One word.....FAB!
They were having a special..fill a plastic grocery size bag
with ribbon spools from a group of boxes for....
......wait for it.......$.95! Amazing! Get ready for lots of
ribbon on my cards!
My real purpose in going was to get some ribbon
that matched the bridesmaid's dresses in my daughter's
wedding! Found that and then some!!!
A great day and a beautiful day for a drive.
Hope you had a good day too!

Father's Day Card

Well, I was looking at my favorite youtube lady, Mary at CARDSTV, and she had a video on making origami shirts for Father's Day cards.  I made one....not so great ....and then made another one that was just plain cute!  So I knew I had to use it on the Father's Day card for my hubby.
I worried about how to add embellishments that would make it "masculine".  I ran the yellow paper through the Sixxix burlap folder and then edged the sentiment labels with dark blue ink.   Popped all the elements and I am pleased with the result.   LOVE the shirt and I know I will use that again on "boy" cards!

Have a great day!

Starting From Scratch

So here goes....I am starting a blog.  I have been quite inspired by other crafters and thought this was as good a time as any to dive in.  I know I have a lot to learn but it will be fun ...I hope!  I have been mostly a quilter with side trips to dabble in jewlery making.  Then....I discovered card making and paper crating.....deadly discovery!  I love paper, color, designing and just playing around with all of the components.  I bought a Cricut and have loved all the options that it gives to really produce a beautiful product!  So ...now I say I am a quilter (will always love quilting)  and a paper crafter!
I am always trying to squeeze in crafting time as I work fulltime as a Nurse Practitioner and love to travel so sometimes I find that I have to do things in small pieces to eventually get the project done.  I am looking forward to sharing some of my projects and just joining the blogging world!
